Wildern Changemakers are a chance for students to collaborate across year groups and with staff to shape the future of Wildern.
Each group will report back termly on their outcomes and have specific areas of focus for the year. We want to see impact at whole school level and for all students to have an awareness and involvement in these groups whether that be actively attending or participating in the events and projects they arrange.
To elevate their impact, Wildern Changemakers meetings will be timetabled during registration. If you have a tutor group they will have a regular cover once a week.

Careers

Continue to evaluate careers based programmes we offer -
Develop links with local businesses for opportunities

Participate in any Careers led events in school including run an enterprise/careers day for all students in the summer term

Report progress and developments back to SLT each term

Support the collection of evidence for the Quality in Careers standard

Continue to investigate Unifrog and ways to make it more accessible and essential for students

Develop a means of collecting and producing the Alumni posters around the school and taking ownership for their upkeep

Take part in any Careers related competitions that are undertaken by the team

Plan, advertise and support charity events across the year

Plan, advertise and host Fun Fridays once a month inc but not limited to karaoke

Plan advertise and support ‘Thank you Thursday’ for all staff once each term

Oversee the Pre-loved uniform including advertising, stock checking and looking after at Induction evening

Develop links within the local community to support Wildern events

Create opportunities to shape a stronger sense of belonging and community amongst all staff and students

Research and create guides for staff on the latest technology including AI software -
Research and create guides for students on the latest technology, including AI software, and it’s use with JCQ regulations

Deliver Google training to local primary schools and staff

Kindness (Anti-Bullying Ambassadors and Rights Respecting Convention)

Train Anti-bullying Ambassadors (ABA) -
Work towards achieving The Diana ABA recognition awards

Promote and lead activities for anti-bullying week and all aspects of our inclusive community e.g LGBTQ+, diversity, disability

Continue to work towards sustaining the Unicef Gold award

Wellbeing

Promote wellbeing support available at Wildern and identify further strategies to help students -
Highlight, promote and lead events during mental health focus weeks

Work in collaboration with the NHS and Beewell as well as representing the school at wellbeing and mental health platforms

Work with the school community and local organisations on research and creating wellbeing lessons and resources

Support and look after the new wellbeing garden
