Our vision is shared across the school and with our Wildern Primary Partnership Schools. We take great pride in offering Primary outreach work as well as hosting the Wildern Junior Music Academy.

In year 7 and 8 students benefit from weekly lessons in a broad curriculum of Art, Dance, Drama and Music. Our Key Stage 3 curriculum is designed to lay strong foundational technical skills, build confidence, and introduce students to a diverse world of cultural styles and practitioners. We aim to foster an environment where exploration is celebrated and students are empowered to express their unique voices. In Years 9, 10, and 11, the Arts curriculum becomes even more comprehensive, offering specialised pathways that prepare students for higher education and industry sectors. We are currently able to offer:

  • GCSE Fine Art

  • GCSE Art: Photography

  • GCSE Dance

  • GCSE Drama

  • GCSE Music

  • ABRSM Grade 1-5 Music theory

  • Arts Award

The Creative Arts department offers a vast range of co-curricular activities such as the annual whole School Production, The Wildern Music Academy and Dance Live!. A multitude of trips are organised throughout the year including professional dance workshops, visits to Art exhibitions, Theatre visits and, more recently, a residential trip to New York City. We are always looking for opportunities to extend students’ learning outside of the curriculum through Arts based activities.

You can find further information about each of the subject areas on their individual pages.
