This renovated space has been thoughtfully designed to bring together key resources that prioritise the wellbeing and success of our students. By housing our Students Services Team, the ASCEND programme, and First Aid under one roof, we have created a supportive and inclusive environment for all.

What’s Inside The Student Hub?

  • Students Services Team: Our dedicated team is here to provide guidance, support, and resources for students navigating both academic and personal challenges. Whether it’s advice on friendship issues, anxiety or stress reduction strategies, or simply someone to talk to, the Students Services Team is committed to helping every student thrive.

  • First Aid: Providing first class first aid along with safety and health are paramount. Our on-site First Aiders ensure that students have access to prompt care and support in case of illness or injury. The proximity of these services to other resources reinforces our holistic approach to student wellbeing.

  • ASCEND Programme: The ASCEND programme offers tailored opportunities for growth, learning, and achievement. Students, identified through school based decisions, who struggle to access school due to various challenges are provided with a tailored support programme that helps these students engage meaningfully with their education while developing essential skills for their future. By providing a nurturing environment that meets their unique needs, we empower these students to thrive and reintegrate back into the mainstream setting.

At the heart of The Student Hub is our unwavering commitment to promoting student wellbeing and mental health. We recognise the challenges young people face today and are dedicated to providing a safe space where they feel valued, supported, and equipped to handle life’s ups and downs. By listening to our students' feedback and by integrating these essential services, we aim to make it easier for students to access the help they need, when they need it.

Welcome to Student Services!

Welcome to Student Services!

  • Who Are We?

The Student Services team is a dedicated hub of passionate, skilled support specialists. We are here to provide the right guidance, care, and interventions at the right time, ensuring that our students, parents, and staff have everything they need to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

  • Our Mission: Why We Are Here

We want every child at Wildern to feel safe, happy, and ready to learn. We work in partnership with you to:

    • Be There for You: Provide a rapid, reassuring response to any immediate questions or concerns parents and carers may have.

    • Keep You in the Loop: Follow up on any worries you share and keep you fully updated on your child's progress.

    • Bridge the Gap: Seamlessly liaise with tutors, teachers, and Year staff to ensure no student slips through the cracks.

    • Celebrate and Support Attendance: Track and monitor attendance and punctuality, working collaboratively with families to build positive morning routines.

    • Deliver Bespoke Care: Create tailored interventions that support our students' unique needs across behaviour, mental health, and overall wellbeing.

    • Safeguard Together: Work hand-in-hand with school staff to wrap a protective layer of care around our young people.

    • Look Beyond Our Walls: Collaborate closely with expert outside agencies to bring additional specialist support directly to your family when needed.

  • How We Work with You

Think of Student Services as your go-to pastoral team and first point of contact. We deal with day-to-day enquiries and act as the vital link between home and school life. Whether it is navigating a friendship issue, supporting mental health and wellbeing, managing bullying concerns, or discussing attendance and school routines, we are here to listen and help.

While your child's Director of Progress and Achievement (DOPA) always maintains overall responsibility for their year group, our team works side-by-side with them. We provide immediate, on-the-ground support to resolve issues quickly before they need to be escalated.

  • Get in Touch

If you have any pastoral concerns regarding your child, whether it is about their friendships, attendance, or emotional wellbeing, please know that our door is always open.

You can ring us directly at Student Services on 01489 779494. Or go to the Parent area of the website and select Talk2us where you can complete an on-line form.

We look forward to working with you!
