Supporting My Child
Text
As our young people navigate the unique challenges of growing up, balancing academic life, and discovering who they are, their emotional wellbeing is just as important as their academic success. We know that the teenage years can bring a mix of highs and lows, and as parents, it isn't always easy to know how to help.
You don’t need to be a mental health expert to make a massive difference—sometimes just being a safe space to talk, listen, and offer a bit of routine is the most powerful tool you have.
Open Conversations: We encourage talking openly about mental health to remove any stigma. Ask open questions like, "What was the best and most challenging part of your day?" rather than just "How was school?"
The Basics Matter: Never underestimate the power of a good sleep routine, a balanced diet, and some time away from screens. Small shifts in these areas can drastically improve a young person's emotional resilience.
Keep Us in the Loop: If you notice sudden changes in your child’s behavior, mood, or eating habits at home, please let their Tutor know.
