Apprenticeships
An apprenticeship is a real job where you learn, gain experience and get paid. Apprentices are employed by a company, with a contract of employment and benefits such as an annual holiday entitlement. By the end of an apprenticeship, apprentices have the right skills and knowledge needed for their chosen career - they have relevant qualifications together with first-hand experience. National Apprenticeship Week is celebrated every year and this annual week-long celebration of apprenticeships, brought together businesses and apprentices across the country to shine a light on the positive impact that apprenticeships make to individuals, businesses and the wider economy. The traditional theme for National Apprenticeship Week is āSkills for Lifeā. The week reflects on how apprenticeships can help individuals to develop the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career and help businesses to develop a talented workforce that is equipped with skills for the future.
